Ballet / Modern Dance Classes & Dancing Lessons for Tweens, Teens & Teenagers in NJ (Beginner / Intermediate / Advanced)

This course will develop the students knowledge of the basic dance positions of the feet, arms and body. It will build upon the foundation with the integration of more advanced steps and challenging combinations. The student will also be expected to learn accurate dance vocabulary. Exercises at the barre, in the centre and traveling across the floor will develop the student's coordination, strength, flexibility, and alignment while exploring the artistry of dance through expression, musicality and phrasing.

Students are carefully placed in a class appropriate to their age, level and experience. Private acting and drama lessons are also available.

Performers Theatre Workshop, located in Maplewood, New Jersey, is one of NJ and NY’s leading performing arts school. Students, ages three to adult can take a variety of classes in all performing arts areas, and proceed at their own pace. PTW’s expert and caring teachers offer indivdual attention to all students. At PTW, there is an enormous sense of community as well as a respect for the individual, which nurtures the young artist and prepares him or her for life on or off the stage.
